This has been a great team effort from everyone. This was one huge undertaking taking a full week to do. Two fireplaces on opposite sides fully removed and supported with new lintels. Then both fireplaces were broken through to create a double sided fireplace. Fully rebuilt rendered and plastered with new hearths. Chimneys merged and lined and a chimney stack rebuild. A great job.

This is why we love our jobs so much, every now and then we get to create something very special. Here we have built from scratch an inglenook fireplace, fitted with a new stove and lining in an extension for some of the nicest customers you could ask for.

This was a big job we undertook in December 2016, removal of an existing fireplace and rebuilding a new one made to look like an original. It took a lot of hard work opening it up to give us the size of the opening we needed. New lintels were put in place for structural purposes, reclaimed bricks and existing stone were reused to create this stunning opening.

An oak beam was put in place with the outer portions fitted with plasterboard and finally plastered. A new slate hearth was cut and installed ready for the new stove to sit elegantly on. All connected with a new lining, chimney pot and birdguard. All the work, carried out by ourselves to the highest standard, legally and beautifully.

Here we have fitted a second hand stove that has been reconditioned by ourselves, complete with a new flex liner, bird guard and closure plate. All finished off with a lime rendered recess and slate hearth. We are sure this will keep the winter cold out.
